Position Overview
The District Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for reducing shrink, improving store safety, and ensuring compliance across approximately 18–20 store locations. This role provides leadership, training, and operational oversight to protect company assets and support store teams.
Key Responsibilities
Loss Prevention & Investigations
- Investigate incidents involving theft, asset loss, injuries, or workplace misconduct
- Determine facts and support appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions
- Identify fraud, policy violations, and operational risks using reporting systems
Security & Safety Management
- Conduct physical security audits and ensure CCTV and alarm systems are functional
- Perform safety inspections and ensure correction of hazards in stores
- Maintain safe working environments through policy enforcement and monitoring
Training & Development
- Train new associates on asset protection and safety procedures
- Coach store teams on shrink reduction strategies and safety awareness
- Participate in store meetings to reinforce compliance and best practices
Operations & Reporting
- Manage inventory movement, scanning, and reconciliation processes
- Conduct operational risk assessments across assigned stores
- Review reports including markdowns, SKUs, and margin data
- Use loss prevention software (Secure Store) to monitor compliance
Leadership & Communication
- Partner with District Team Leaders to support business performance
- Provide guidance, feedback, and operational support to store leadership
- Communicate policies clearly and ensure consistent execution across locations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in loss prevention or retail security
- Experience in investigation or asset protection roles
- Certification in interviewing/investigation methods (WZ or Reid preferred)
- Strong judgment and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train and influence teams effectively
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel within assigned district (including overnight travel if needed)
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license required and ability to operate a vehicle
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to remain alert and perform safely in all conditions
Additional Information
This role supports stores across multiple Oklahoma and Kansas locations, including Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Edmond, and surrounding areas.
